POST-CHRONIC DIVISIONATIONS

2021

A medicalized undead two-faced figure, facing forwards and looking back, navigates past and future endings from the position of present doom. Guides through (that) feeling (that) it’s already too late.

Projection-mapped video and soundscape enliven the two profile faces of this sculpture, cast from the face of CPR dummy ‘Resusci-Anne.’ Includes quotes inspired by accounts of ‘localized apocalypses:’ American slavery, The Holocaust, the atomic bombing of Nagasaki, the Guatalalan Civil War, the ongoing pandemic, and more.
