Stuck In Transit
This 30 second cinemagraph uses archival footage of a subway station to consider that transitory space and the temporal effects of trauma. The figure at the end of the platform is caught in limbo, unable to board the train or in any way participate in the flow of time. As the train leaves her behind, the illusion breaks - seemingly giving us fleeting insight into the figure's point of view before cutting to black.
This is the first of my explorations into mixed media digital collage and trauma's effects: I'm currently continuing this line of inquiry.
